About Us

Larry Russell, co-founder and President, has been in the construction industry for over 30 years.  He was inspired by his father who was a general contractor, and upon earning his bachelors degree from Arlington State University, Larry started his own construction business.  He grew the company to over 100 employees and $3 million in sales and decided to expand his horizons. After selling the company he was appointed to senior management positions with large construction contractors in the Dallas area.  After moving to Tampa in 1988, he became an Executive Vice President with Tampa Power and then a partner with Paruss Consulting, a construction consulting firm, until he co-founded West Coast Remodelers in 2006. 

Larry’s believes that customer satisfaction is not just a phrase, it is the lifeline for a construction company. Larry enjoys hands-on remodeling and is always tinkering with his own house.  He resides in Lutz and is an avid golfer and a soon-to-be famous chef.

Doug King, co-founder and Vice President, has over 25 years of business experience in production management, product development and sales for multiple industries.  He earned his bachelors degree from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School in Atlanta.

His expertise in working with Research and Development professionals and manufacturing staff while calling on Fortune 500 companies has given him the skills and passion for understanding customers’ wants and needs and matching those to available products and services that are important to a successful remodeling project.

He resides in the St. Petersburg area and enjoys boating of all types, especially sail boat racing.  He has always been a do-it-yourselfer and learned the value of hard work and good craftsmanship from his father who was a career aviation mechanic with Piedmont Airlines.  Doug is a “self-proclaimed” professional chili chef
